Recovery/Stress Management

Stress is a buzz word that is grossly misunderstood. Eliminating stress and controlling it are two very different concepts. The only time that you will not have stress in your life, is when it’s over. Like all things, it is simply a matter of balance.

We respond positively to a challenge if we understand the paradox of stress and control. Limiting excessive physiological, psychological and mental stress like depression, anxiety and chronic pre-occupation also helps.

Stress while potentially debilitating is also a key to growth. Exercise is stress. When you challenge your body or your brain you must provide the body with the specific nutrients it requires in order for growth to occur.
